Suparna’s Parents and pretty much Suparna’s world. Bijoy was already settled in New York when Shephali moved from Kolkata in 1989 after their marriage. Although her children were born in the states, Shephali made it her mission to keep their Indian roots alive—through traditions, values, and everyday life—while raising them as Americans. Because of her, they grew up proud to be both.

Souvik Saha
Suparna’s Brother
5 years younger than his sister, but people often mistake him to be the older sibling. Souvik, better known as Sunny, has always a brought of calmness and stability in his sister’s life. He always seems to know exactly what she needs and has always been by her side through the thickest times.

Amit’s parents and the foundation of the person Amit is today. After Arun pursued his PhD in Japan, Swati wanted to pursue her dreams of a PhD in the states. Amit came to the states at the age of 9, later going on to settle in Toronto where he would spend the rest of his childhood and adolescent years.

Although 5 years younger than Amit, Antara has always been a strong supporter for amit, always ready to tell him when he’s wrong! Like every sister should. All jokes aside, she’s the best friend he never knew he needed. Antara & Suraj will be celebrating their 3rd anniversary this July.
